Daily announcements for the middle school are available below.  Please click on the appropriate day of the week.  We do not archive announcements longer than 5 days.

Parents can also receive daily announcements via email.  Please contact Mrs. Wyse and let her know your student's name and grade.

Any students who would like to order an FCA t-shirt should see Mr. PE Miller sometime this week.  Order forms are in the gym and can be turned in to Mr. PE Miller or to Mr. Frank at the high school.  All proceeds from the shirts go to the high school FCA.  There are also order forms for staff members in the north and south side teachers lounges.

 

After announcements  there will be a brief meeting in the small gym for anyone with 16 or more sales in our Fundraiser. The purpose will be to discuss and distribute permission slips for our Kalahari trip. Please check the lists posted in the cafeteria to confirm that you had 16 or more sales. There are a few corrections to the posted list which will be done later today.

 

On Thursday, there will be our Kona Ice/ DJ Prize Day event. Those with 5 or more sales will receive a ticket for a Kona Ice. Students with 8 or more sales will receive a ticket for the Air Extreme DJ Laser Light Party. The parties will be held Thursday afternoon. 5th and 6thgraders with a ticket will be called to the gym around 12:45 for approximately an hour. 7th and 8th graders with a ticket will be called to the gym after the 5th and 6th graders have been dismissed until the end of the day. Awards such as the Dcie Roll, Cash Wheel, Cash Box Draw, and Money Machine will be done at that time as well.

 

7th and 8th grade Girls: If you are interested in playing basketball this year please sign up on the sheet in the Main Office by TOMORROW!!!   We will have Open Gym on: Monday, October 22 from 3-4:15 & Wednesday, October 24 from 3-4:15

Tryouts will begin: Monday, October 29 3-5pm, Tuesday, October 30 3-5pm. Wednesday, October 31 3-5pm.

 

Students Please check Lost & Found!!  Items are piling up quickly!  Please take your stuff home!  Items are located outside the office.

 

This week is National School Lunch Week.  The café has fun activities planned for each day.   Each day the student that is closest to the correct answer will get a prize.  Prizes will be handed out on Friday.   Come Join The Fun and Try a School Lunch!

 

Students --- Have you made a difference in the community through volunteering? Application for the Prudential Spirit of Community Award in now open. Last year, AMS’s own Chiana Nafziger and Isaac Reichert were honored. Chiana represented the state of Ohio at an event in Washington DC. Application information is available on a poster outside the Main Office. The deadline to apply is November 6.

Sales totals for our fundraiser are finalized! Thank you to all who participated. Our top sellers this year were:

Tied for 10th  with 25 each: Kameron Krugh, Charles Jones, Landon Krugh, and Bryn Hurst

Tied for 8th with 26 each: Evy Roth and Dane Miller

7th with 27: Addy Grooms

Tied for 4th with 30 sales: Kyler Bouton, Lucas Dominique, and Avery Roth

Tied for second with 35 sales: Kaylei Kunkle and Autumn Benecke

First Place from the 6th grade: Lila Hicks with 36 sales

The 8th grade football team won their 3rd straight game yesterday by defeating Evergreen 24 — 0. 

The 7th grade football team won their game last night 14-0

 

Any 7th or 8th grader interested in wrestling can sign up in the office.

In 8th grade football action last night. Archbold defeated Delta 46 — 20.  

 

Today the Fulton County Sherriff’s Department will be here to speak with our 7th and 8th graders. They will discuss their work in keeping our community safe and healthy. This Assembly will take place in the small gym immediately following announcements. 7th and 8th graders will be on an Assembly Schedule for the remainder of the morning.

 

Reminder to check Total sales from your magazine and cookie dough sales.  These totals are posted in the cafeteria. On-line sales are included. Please check to verify that your total is accurate. If you think it is wrong, please contact Mr. Shields as soon as possible.
