The objectives of the health course are to better the overall health of the students in the physical, mental, social, spiritual, and emotional aspects. Through the instruction and discussion of these aspects, students will be able to make better decisions and choices to live a healthier, happier life.
The objectives of physical education are to promote growth and development, to develop sportsmanship,teamwork and leadership, to develop playing skills, coordination, personal goals and values, to promote social and emotional challenges through participation, to present leisure time activities of a valuable nature, and to promote self-expression
and self evaluation.
This class is designed to allow students to become more comfortable and knowledgeable in a fitness facility setting.
The students will improve fitness levels through strength training, flexibility, agility training, speed training and aerobic conditioning.
This course will allow students to learn the names of various
exercises and equipment a fitness facility has to offer. They will also learn how to properly use equipment and perform various
exercises using free weights. Students will be responsible for keeping track of individual goals and daily progress to see personal gains and improvements.
